In September, SSF’s Managing Director Masanori Tamazawa and SSF’s Senior Program Director Tomohiko Yoshida participated in TAFISA meetings.
On September 19, Tamazawa participated online in the inaugural meeting of the SUCCEED Advisory Board and Governing Committee, which is a significant milestone for the project. The gathering was an opportunity to introduce the SUCCEED framework and define the project's governance structure, setting the stage for its global implementation.
SUCCEED (Supporting Communities Empowerment & Development through Sport for All) is a new global framework that TAFISA has recently launched, and is dedicated to fostering community empowerment and development through capacity building in Sport for All, in collaboration with the IOC through its Olympism365 strategy.
By integrating a diverse range of capacity-building initiatives into a unified framework, SUCCEED aims to empower practitioners, participants, institutions, and organizations to leverage sport as a tool to create a better world.
On September 17, Yoshida participated online in the second meeting of the TAFISA Knowledge Exchange Commission, which is another important milestone in strengthening global collaboration in the field of Sport for All.
A key focus of the meeting was the structure and organization of future Commission meetings.
The discussions highlighted the Commission’s commitment to establishing key actions and outcomes for the next two years, as well as developing best practices for measuring progress and impact in the Sport for All sectors. A standout moment from the meeting was a thought-provoking presentation on planetary health, emphasizing the vital role sport can play in reducing CO2 emissions. By sharing ideas, resources, and best practices, the Commission continues to build a healthier, more inclusive, and active global society.
