Launch of TAFISA Knowledge Exchange Commission

July 23, 2024

SSF's Senior Program Director, Tomohiko Yoshida, will serve as a co-chair for the TAFISA Knowledge Exchange Commission (KEC) with Aurélie Van Hoye of the University of Lorraine.

The KEC is a new initiative aimed at fostering global collaboration and knowledge sharing in the field of Sport for All. TAFISA recently launched this initiative and had the first meeting on June 19, providing members with an introduction to the KEC’s goals and framework.

The KEC will serve as a dynamic workgroup for experts, practitioners, and organization leaders worldwide to exchange ideas, best practices, and innovative solutions to enhance public health, inclusivity, engagement, and more through Sport for All.

The main objectives of the KEC include sharing research findings, cultivating a research culture among TAFISA members, providing training and support, developing impact measurement frameworks, and enhancing TAFISA’s visibility.

By facilitating open dialogues and collaborative projects, the commission seeks to address pressing issues, promote the sustainable development goals, and focus on evidence-based solutions, leveraging TAFISA's extensive network to drive positive change at both the grassroots and policy levels.

Sasakawa Sports Foundation is contributing to this initiative through Tomohiko’s dedication and commitment. SSF believes that the KEC will become a cornerstone of innovation and progress in the realm of Sport for All and invites stakeholders from around the world to join this transformative journey.
